Moving On…

My idea of a stocking cap didn’t work out.   I guess you win some and lose some.  I’ll try another project on the Christmas Twist Encore a little later.  Today, I will concentrate my efforts on the crochet blanket I have at home and the Einstein at the store.

What do you do when you have those projects that just don’t work out?  Do you frog it and try again right away, or do you have to put that yarn aside for a while?

Stocking Caps…

I cast on for another store project, like the Einstein is not enough!  I am trying my hand at knitting childrens stocking caps in the new Encore Christmas twists.   I hope they work out as cute in reality as they are in my imagination.

Quiet?

It sure wasn’t quiet at Sit/Knit last night.  Our Thursday night group continues to grow.  There was a lot of chatting, snacking on some wonderful homemade cookies, and even a little knitting and crocheting going on.

I realize I may be posting less this past week or so.  I spend a lot of my physical and mental energy in preperation for sending my “baby” to  Kentucky for school.  We leave in 8 days!  So bear with me, I am a little preoccupied these days.

Summer…

Here it is the height of summer, and I’m finding my thoughts continually floating to the fall/winter season.   I daydream about the knitting I want to have done for the holiday season,  I need to start now!

So, I used some of this energy to mark down some summer yarn.  Today’s new markdown is Yume a Colinette hand dyed silk.  I’ll continue adding things over the coming weeks.

Way To Spend A Sunday!

This is how far we got on our knitting….  By the looks of it there was a lot more “socializing” than knitting!  We had a full house at our Single Skein Soial.  Many new friends were made, and a little knitting accomplished.
