Happy Arrangement

May 27, 2009 · 6 Comments

So many colors, yarns, and fibers!

So many colors, yarns, and fibers!

Last week I told you all about the shelving re-arrangement we had in the works.  (Needed in order to accomodate the new Rowan Purelife Organic Cotton, new colors in Baby Bamboo and Sirdar Snuggly.)   The new shelf arrangement and its beautiful array of colors makes me so happy I decided to take a picture and share it with you all.

Oh Happy Day

May 14, 2009 · 6 Comments

Now my week of striving for organization and  routine will be complete.  Pat is back!  I know she will be a little sad to have left her grandbabies behind, but I sure am happy to have  her back in the store.

Welcome Back Pat!

A week to “regroup and “reorganize”

The above is a new fingering weight self striping yarn from Crystal Palace Yarns.  It is particularly beautiful for scarves.

This week feels like a good week to re-organize, re-group and become grounded again.  After being gone for a good portion of last week, and then having a “holiday” weekend (in Sonora, Roundup weekend is a holiday), a bit of routine will do me good.  I have even gotten off my knitting routine.

Today I spend the day in the store catching up on all those “to do” items that have piled up.   I wonder what new patterns and/or yarns have come in to inspire me…

Roundup Parade & Mothers Day Weekend

May 8, 2009 · 5 Comments

Our store hours this weekend are a little different due to the events at hand. I hope the following helps clarify some of the questions that have come up.

Saturday is the Rodeo/Roundup Parade. We we will be closed during the parade, but will open afterwards about 1:00 p.m. So for those of you that make the trip to Sonora for the parade, yes…. you will be able to get your yarn fix. We will open after the parade clears until our usual closing of 5:30.

Sunday is Mothers Day.We will keep our usual Sunday hours of 11:00 – 4:00. Come on by after your Sunday Brunch!

Have A Great Weekend whatever you do.

Flat Stanley Makes a Visit

May 2, 2009 · 8 Comments

Stanley chose some Kureyon sock yarn for his scarf

Stanley chose some Kureyon sock yarn for his scarf

A dear customer had a special visitor for a while.  Her grandson had sent her “Flat Stanley” to visit her for a while.  She brought Stanley into the store a couple of times.  He even sat through a class!  Above you see him deciding on which yarn he wanted his scarf out of.

I will be out of town until Thursday…. you all be good!
